The neighbourhood

Nestling in the heart of the 17th arrondissement, the Ternes neighbourhood is a charming corner of Paris that blends history and modernity.

Just a stone's throw from the Place de l'Étoile, this strategic crossroads stands out for its imposing Haussmann-style buildings, beautiful ashlar facades and balconies adorned with wrought iron.

The neighbourhood's streets are lively and welcoming, bustling with colourful markets such as the Marché Poncelet, the flower market on Place des Ternes and the covered market on Rue Lebon.

Gourmets will delight in the many bistros, restaurants and patisseries offering a variety of delicious dishes, enjoyed by even the most famous.

But Les Ternes is also a green haven in the heart of Paris. Walkers will love the nearby Bois de Boulogne, the Promenade Pereire, a former railway line transformed into a haven of flowers, and the Parc Monceau, a veritable treasure trove with its statues, rotunda and oval pool.

For history and art lovers, the Musée Cernuschi, dedicated to Asian art, is a must-see, as is the fascinating history of the district, once a village with its castle, crossed by the road from Paris to St Germain en Laye, now the Avenue des Ternes.

Today, Les Ternes is a lively neighbourhood, popular with young couples, families and retirees for its child-friendly atmosphere.

It's a prime, central location thanks to its ideal position right next to the Etoile, the Champs Elysées and Porte Maillot.

It's a place where history meets the present, where every street corner tells a story, and where Parisian life flourishes in all its splendour.
